Cannot open attachments in Outlook Express (Issue 1006)
Attachments are blocked by Outlook Express
This is due to a security setting in Outlook Express, to change this follow these steps with Outlook Express open:
1) Click "Tools" on the menu bar
2) Select "Options"
3) Select "Security" tab
4) Uncheck the box "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus. "
5) Click OK to close the options window
You should now be able to view attachments.
